Based on a true story, Becoming Grace is a shocking and inspiring family saga.  It is 1968, sex, drugs and rock and roll.  After her parent’s divorce, teenager Grace Rentano and her sister Amber are forced into sexual slavery by their alcoholic mother.  For the next ten years, Grace is torn between saving Amber and saving herself.

Venice Beach, California in the ’70s becomes the epicenter of Grace’s rite of passage and Amber’s sexual abuse at the hands of her mother’s boyfriend.  Grace finds friendship and shelter oh the boardwalk and clubs around Venice.  She builds lifelong friendships and sows her oats in the free love culture.

After nearly two decades of married life, Amber receives the tragic news that her mother has committed suicide.  Her mother’s death throws her into a spiral.  After a devastating divorce, she jumps into a dead end relationship.  Amber is left to face her worst fears.  Meanwhile, the loss has a different effect on Grace.  With her children grown, she abandons her former life, to become the person she’s always dreamed of becoming.
